Abyssine
What is Abyssine?
Abyssine is an anti-wrinkle product manufactured by Kiehls. It comes in a facial cream, eye cream and a facial serum, but no matter what form it is designed to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It is also supposed to protect the skin from damage that can occur because of free radicals. There only seem to be a few minor differences in the formulas. The serum is more for fighting wrinkles and protecting against free radicals. The eye cream is directed at the area under the eye, and the facial cream is also supposed to protect from the sun and further damage. They contain many of the same ingredients, so we will focus on the pros and cons of those main ingredients.
Benefits
Abyssine is sold by several different manufacturers and is fairly inexpensive. It also comes in a cream and serum to fit different preferences. The serum contains Apricot Kernel Oil which is good for soothing and moisturizing the skin. This product contains other ingredients that may help to protect the skin.
Side Effects
There are no proven wrinkle reducers. There are only ingredients that will moisturize and maybe help to protect from the sun and free radicals. There isn’t much research done on the ingredients so we aren’t sure about the long-term effects.
Conclusion
These products might be good if you’re looking for a protecting moisturizer. However, for just a lotion they would be expensive. If you’re looking for a something to fight the signs of aging then this is not the product for you. We suggest you keep looking.
