What is Avage?
Avage is a prescription based around tazarotene cream in a 0.1% concentration. It is only for topical use, and it has generally been used in the treatment of acne along with some skin problems, scarring, wrinkles, etc.
History of Avage
Avage has been tested in multiple clinical trials, and it has been shown to produce results in most individuals. It has been used for a number of years and been considered to have more benefits than associated risks.
Benefits
It can burn away bacteria and other things that may cause you to age faster or otherwise. But it may also cause premature aging, because it is damaging skin cells. It does not have wrinkle fighting properties or benefits at this time.
Side Effects
Side effects include allergic reactions, hypermigmentation, desquamitation, erythema, burning sensation, dry skin, pruritis, irritant contact dermatitis, stinging, acne, rash, edema, inflammation, and chelitis.
Conclusion
Avage doesn’t promote wrinkle fighting in general, and it doesn’t promote many benefits at all. However, it does cause a number of side effects and would not be recommended for use in any skin condition or internal use.
