Sprengel- it is an ingredient in this product is because it contains arbutin, which blocks melanin production, but research has shown that there are many pure forms of arbutin are much more effective as skin lighteners. Daucus Carota Sativa root extract – said to stimulate skin cell regeneration. Mitracarpus Scaber Extract – also a melanin inhibitor and also not as effective as pure arbutin. What else should I know about Lightenex?
This product could possibly aid with skin lightening, but might also cause skin irritation, DNA damage, and cancer. With skin lighteners, however, there is always more of a risk. They disrupt the way that skin functions and even if they don’t contain bleach, they can cause reactions in the skin. This product contains multiple extracts, which cannot penetrate the epidermal layer of the skin and therefore really do nothing for you. We would recommend looking elsewhere for a skin lightening treatment.
