NV Perricone MD is a skincare line based around a number of different ingredients and claiming to reduce lines and wrinkles, protect the skin, reduce pore size, puffiness, and imperfections, even out skin tones, refine skin texture, increase elasticity, and otherwise. Their main product is known as the Advanced Face Firming Activator.
History of NV Perricone MD
Dr Perricone was first featured on the Oprah show and suggested the top 10 superfoods. Since then, he created this line to make an extra source of money and people have flocked to it, because he was on Oprah, because his claims were a big deal, and because he’s a licensed doctor.
Benefits
Unfortunately, in terms of his skin line, he didn’t do any better than competitors in general. He failed to really use proven wrinkle fighters such as peptides. He used antioxidants to protect the skin only in small and ineffective amounts, and the rest of the ingredients are damaging preservatives and thick and heavy moisturizers in general terms.
Side Effects
Side effects are likely to include redness, burning, rash, stinging, sun sensitivity, dry skin, inflammation, dermatitis, and flaking.
Conclusion
We would not suggest NV Perricone MD at this time. It doesn’t actually have the right ingredients, and despite the name behind it, it stoops to the same low levels as many lower priced competitors. Essentially why pay more when you are getting the exact same thing anyway. That is the question many have asked after failing with NV Perricone MD.
