What is Prevage?
Prevage is meant to correct fine lines and wrinkles, protect skin from environmental stressors, and improve the overall appearance of skin as they put it using the powerful antioxidant known as idebenone. It is only available through a doctor, and it is supposed to be an anti aging treatment.
History of Prevage
Prevage uses a 1% concentration of idebenone, and it is sold only through the doctor of your choice. It is not actually a prescription however. It is just a way for doctors to retail it and make more money. It is by no means FDA approved keep in mind. It is produced by Allergan.
Benefits
With a mere 1% concentration of idebenone, it won’t even have the ability to actually fight off free radicals, environmental damage, or sun damage. Its other ingredients actually hurt the skin like retinol, and again these ingredients don’t actually fight wrinkles as they would claim.
Side Effects
Side effects of Prevage include redness, burning, rash, stinging, sun sensitivity, dry skin, inflammation, dermatitis, and flaking.
Conclusion
Though it may seem appealing because Prevage is available only through a doctor’s office, it would be inadvisable to buy this product. It doesn’t have the right ingredients by any definition or for that matter the right amounts. Everything you spent would only be wasted. We would not suggest buying this product.
