Telomere Cell Cream by Elite Review
This cream claims to reduce the negative effects that aging has on your skin. This includes not only wrinkles, but also age lines, dark shadows, age spots, discoloration. The idea is that it stimulates the telomeres in the skin, causing them to lengthen and prolonging their life. Telomeres are the ends of chromosomes, and they contain DNA and other vital properties. When they are lengthened, this improves the health of the cell. This is something that suffers with age, as cell production decreases, and the length of the telomere gets shorter and shorter. The idea is very interesting, but we are also anxious to see the ingredients in the product to determine if it is truly effective.
Ingredients
Purified Water, Squalane, Hyaluronic Acid, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Teprenone, Polyacrylate 13, Plyiosbutene, Plysorbate 20, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol, Phenooxyethanol, Elthylhexylglycerine
Pros
This product contains many ingredients that are proven to be effective. Hyaluronic Acid promotes keratinocyte proliferation and increases the presence of retinoic acid, effecting skin hydration. Retinoic acid also aids in the production of collagen. Teprenone is the ingredient that Elite claims to be responsible for the cellular benefits of this product. While little is known about whether or not that process is totally effective, we do know that teprenone has been shown to improve the pores, decrease redness, increase moisture, reducing skin roughness, and also reduce fine lines.
Cons
This product is very expensive, costing $100 for about one fluid ounce. This product also contains Elthylhexylglycerine, which is a conditioner and preservative that has been known to cause skin irritation. However, it is the last ingredient in this product, meaning that it probably appears in a negligible amount and won’t adversely affect the skin.
Conclusion
We would recommend this product because it has proven ingredients.
